Brittany T. Grasmick is a Los Angeles-based intellectual property and cannabis attorney. Her practice currently entails having a detailed knowledge of state and local cannabis regulations while helping advise clients on compliance and licensing within all facets of the industry (i.e., manufacturing, cultivation, retail, etc.).
Ms. Grasmick earned her law degree from Loyola University-Chicago School of Law in 2015 where she served as published author and Associate Editor of the International Law Review. Her studies focused on intellectual property and tax law.
During law school, she interned with the IP and commercial litigation group at Bryan Cave, LLP where she helped prosecute copyright and trademark infringement for a multinational luxury fashion company. She also interned with Fox Sports (Music) Business & Legal Affairs in Los Angeles where she helped draft and negotiate master licenses and composer agreements. Finally, Ms. Grasmick developed an internal guidebook for trademark registration, protection, and enforcement for the Rehabilitation Institute of Chicago (“RIC”), and assisted RIC with acquiring design patents for its new hospital.
Before joining the firm, Ms. Grasmick was a legal contractor for Warner Music Group where she analyzed catalogue artists’ recording agreements, performed synch license clearances, and processed copyright termination notices.
As a Denver native, Brittany holds a B.A. in Business Administration (Finance) and an International Business Certificate from The University of Colorado-Boulder. Brittany was admitted to practice law in California in 2017.
