Attorney Brad Bartlett is senior counsel at McAllister Garfield, P.C. where he directs the firms Tribal Cannabis Law Group and advises clients on cannabis and hemp law, business transactions and environmental compliance matters.
Over his considerable twenty-year legal career, Brad has handled numerous high-profile environmental compliance and enforcement cases as well as complex American Indian law matters in tribal court, federal district court and at the appellate level. Brad founded and managed two law firms working in the public interest on energy and resource extraction issues throughout the Western U.S. and in Indian Country.
Prior to joining McAllister Garfield, Brad served as an assistant professor at the University of Denver Sturm School of Law in the Environmental and Natural Resources Law Program, where he also directed the school’s Environmental Law Clinic.
Brad is admitted to practice before Federal courts in Colorado and Wyoming as well as the Ninth and Tenth Circuit Courts of Appeals. Brad is a member of the Federal Bar Association, National Native American Bar Association, and the National Cannabis Bar Association.
Brad graduated the University of Colorado School of Law’s environmental and American Indian Law program in 1998.
Brad is an enrolled tribal member of the Sault Ste. Marie Band of Chippewa Indians.
